Excellent original condition. This bike has been well looked after and is one of the best examples in WA. Engine, gearbox and diff. Oil just changed. Near new tryes front and rear. Nothing at all to spend. Just get on and ride. Original owners books and toolkit (including puncture repair kit and gas cartridges. Paint work looks close to new. All instruments, lights, electrics, ABS, engine, gearbox and differential, wheels, brakes and tyres are in excellent condition.
I am the third owner. The two previous owners were close friends and looked after the bike from new. I have owned her for just over two years, and am selling as I have bought another BMW.
The R1100RS is a bike with a popular following. A website dedicated to it exists and is full of information from keen owners all over the world. It is a sports tourer with a torquey and relaxing engine, and power to spare for country runs and overtaking.
It has adjustable seat height, and the handle bars are adjustable in two dimensions. The front windscreen is also adjustable. Under the seat there is room for the tool kit, a first aid kit, some gloves and more.
It is the type of bike you can ride all day and arrive fresh at the end of your journey.
The only blemishes are:
1. Four holes drilled in the rear of the muffler (so that the exhaust is audible)
2. Slight scratches on the rocker covers from being laid down on a gravel drive way (while stationary)
3. Small bit of engine paint flaked on one cylinder
4. Approx. 1cm crack in seat vinyl
